I started out in retail, working for a number of menswear stores locally before I moved to London to work for Victorinox (the Swiss Army brand) to help develop their new clothing range. After nearly a year I decided that I needed a change and got a job at a landscape company. This was a bit of a culture shock, moving from the warmth and cleanliness of a high end store on Bond Street to the cold wet outdoors we enjoy for our British summers.
During this time I fell in love with the garden, helping people create their dream gardens; be it either a beautiful outdoor terrace or creating amazing shades and colours with planting. Despite enjoying the hard graft and landscaping I found myself speaking to the clients often, finding out what they wanted and why. This was when I knew I wanted to be the one to design peoples gardens and create their dream outdoor spaces.
For me this is not about creating the perfect show garden but taking the ideas from my clients mind and turning them into reality.
